·        The Worship Reflection group meets on Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. at the church.  Everyone is welcome.

We are in the season of advent, a time of anticipation.  Each week as we wait, watch, wish, and welcome we can also take time to pray and worship.  We can make time for family and friends.  We can think about our response to God’s gift of the Christ child and make plans and pledges for the year ahead.

Fun Advent Activities:

  1. Make advent candle holders and light one each week.  Use four empty cans without sharp edges.  Paint Christmas pictures on them and place a votive candle in each.  Label them hope, peace, joy and love.
  2. On a large cardboard star make a Christmas picture of the bay Jesus.  On the bottom attach a paper chain with 28 loops.  Each day of Advent cut off one loop.
  3. Make a snowstorm jar for someone special.  Fill a small jar with baby oil or corn syrup and some water.  Add glitter.  Glue a tiny figurine to the inside of the lid.  Glue around the lid and seal it shut.  When dry, turn and shake.
  4. Make your own Nativity
